Dublin Lab

Dublin is a vibrant city and a fun place to live. In recent years Dublin has undergone major cultural, social and economic change, and the mood of the city is one of confidence and pride, enhanced in no small part by the positive international profile which Ireland currently enjoys.

Located in the IBM Technology Campus in Mulhuddart, the Dublin Software Lab (DSL) is part of the IBM Software Group. Opened in 1987 by Lotus Development Corporation, as a center of expertise in Localisation, Globalisation and Software Product Development. In 1995 Lotus Development joined IBM and today the Lab is an integral part of IBM Software Group.

The lab consists of three divisions:

  1. Collaborative Learning Development
  2. Software Tools & Technologies Development
  3. Lotus Engineering & Test

The Lab is also home to the IBM Dublin Center for Advanced Studies (CAS).

Extreme Blue™ projects are chosen from across the lab's product development portfolio. DSL employs around 200 people in its software development department.
